FASTER Colorado Course Descriptions

FASTER Colorado Level-1

During this 3-day class, participants complete an active killer and Colorado Use of Force seminar, learn tactical emergency casualty care, participate in scenario-based training and use of a simulator, learn advanced handgun basics, spend time on the range to work on marksmanship and tactical skills, and complete the Colorado POST qualification in handgun proficiency.

This 3-day training class tuition is $1,250. Partial scholarships are available for school staff members upon request, while they are available.

FASTER Colorado Level-2

During this 2-day class, participants will spend most of the time on the range working on intermediate handgun, marksmanship and tactical skills, and will complete the Colorado POST qualification in handgun proficiency. They will refine their tactical emergency casualty care throughout the training, exhibiting skills in live scenarios. Additionally, there will be scenario-based training with live scenarios and in the simulator.

Participants must have completed FASTER Level-1 and completed the Colorado POST qualification in handgun proficiency at 100% to attend this class.

FASTER Level-2 class tuition is $750. Partial scholarships are available for school staff members upon request, while they are available.

FASTER Level-3

During these 2-day classes, participants will spend the first day on the range working on intermediate to advanced handgun skills, marksmanship and tactical skills, and will complete the Colorado POST qualification in handgun proficiency. They will refine their tactical emergency casualty care throughout the training, exhibiting skills in live scenarios. On the second day, they will do scenario-based training at a school or similar facility. The day will be spent doing scenarios in a school based environment with a focus on close quarter tactics, priority of work, room clearing strategies, decision making and responsibilities, and mindset. There will also be time spent discussing school active shooter policies and procedures.

Participants must have completed FASTER Level-2 and completed the Colorado POST Qualification in Handgun Proficiency at 100% to attend Level-3.

FASTER Level-3 class tuition is $750. Partial scholarships are available for school staff members upon request, while they are available.

FASTER Advanced Level

During these 2-day classes, participants will spend the first day on the range working on advanced handgun skills, marksmanship and tactical skills, and will complete the Colorado POST qualification in handgun proficiency. They will refine their tactical emergency casualty care throughout the training, exhibiting skills in live scenarios. On the second day, they will do scenario-based training at a Simunitions facility. The student will understand tactics needed to properly, thoroughly, and safely search and clear buildings using all available resources. The day will be spent doing scenarios in a school based environment with a focus on close quarter tactics, priority of work, room clearing strategies, decision making and responsibilities, and mindset. There will also be time spent discussing school active shooter policies and procedures.

Participants must have completed FASTER Level-3 and completed the Colorado POST Qualification in Handgun Proficiency at 100% to attend Advanced Level.

FASTER Security Specialist Training

During these 5-day classes, participants will spend 3 days on the range working on intermediate and advanced handgun skills, marksmanship and tactical skills, and will complete the Colorado POST qualification in handgun proficiency. On the remaining 2 days, they will do scenario-based training at a school or similar facility. Participants will complete an active killer and Colorado Use of Force seminar and learn basic tactical emergency casualty care. They will refine their tactical emergency casualty care throughout the training, exhibiting skills in live scenarios. The student will understand and execute advanced tactics needed to properly, thoroughly, and safely search and clear buildings using all available resources with a focus on close quarter tactic, priority of work, room clearing strategies, decision making and responsibilities, and mindset. There will also be time spent discussing school active shooter policies and procedures.

FASTER Security Specialist Training Advanced is $2,000.
